How to keep snakes away from your property
Snakes are such animals which can control pest population in the economy by scaring away the rats, mouse or insects. Some of the snake species are venomous and can harm other animals or human beings.
There are many precautionary measures that need to be taken into account, if you want to keep snakes away from your property:
- Snakes do not have hearing senses. They can only feel vibrations. To remove the snake from a particular area, vibrations can be created. This is performed on temporary basis only when you are working in the garden and want to move the snakes from there.
- Clean the trash area on regular basis so there are fewer chances of snakes.
- Cut off the long bushes or grass weeds.
- If any holes are opened, close them urgently as they are looking for hiding places in the house.
- Snake proof fences can also help to keep the snakes away from your property. Put barriers on those areas from where the snake can easily enter the property
- Trapping the snake in the net is another step for keeping them away from reaching you house.
- Try to keep small stones in your garden in which snakes cannot hide.
- If you want to keep long edged plants then try to place then in a farther area from your property where snakes cannot invade your home.
- Spraying repellents on the food or near the trash bin areas can also help in removing the snakes from there.
- Use of mothball is also another remedy to keep the snakes away. Mothballs may or may not produce long term results.
- Use a hook stick to pick up the snakes from the ground, only if you are a professional expert.
Snakes are different in species so it becomes difficult to understand the type of snake and then how to deal with it.
